Archery Wild Trail 2024

November 17th 2024 sees the Pine Ridge Archery Club in South Auckland host the 2024 Advanced Archery Wild Trail

You can enter this event right now… what are you waiting for?

What is Archery Wild? It’s a unique archery format designed to entertain the adventurous and not so adventurous archers. There is one 35 target course that weaves its way through the 400 acres of the Pine Ridge Archery Club

There are two sides of the course which links through the club house where there will be food and drinks available.

After the trail there will be some challenge shoots at the club house for prizes.

  • A 100 yard shot – hit the kill zone and go into the draw.
  • The broadhead challenge – Each round the safe zone gets smaller and smaller until it is down to the
closest broadhead wins. Must be fixed blades, min size 1” diameter
  • Steel Boar – Each round the kill zone get smaller, last archer standing wins

Some of the shots will be tough, very tough, so bring plenty of arrows. The good news is though, there is no scoring. That’s right, none of the arrows are scored so if you want to shoot a little closer to the target you can.

Equipment rules for the Trail are simple, no broadheads and no crossbows. Everything else is in. The target distances will not be marked but bring your rangefinders, rangefinding sights and binos. Despite the lack of scoring there will be an abundance of prizes to be won by just being there. It’s as simple as that

The Archery Wild Trail will be a great event for hunters to give their gear a good test and kick off some practice over summer before heading out in the roar. For archers, the event will be something very different to what you are used to.
