Pine Ridge Archers is a well established field archery club located in South Auckland, close to SH1 between Drury and Bombay. Pine Ridge has catered for competitive and social archers, as well as families and friends, for over 40 years.

We are based on a stunning working farm in Ararimu. The property is a wonderful mix of rolling hillside and pockets of native bush. There are clean slow-flowing streams and ponds which are home to a great variety of birds and other wildlife.

Our courses are shot every Sunday, and shooters are expected to be on site by 8:45am. On the first Sunday of every month there is a club competition with friendly rivalry for divisional wins and an annual ranking. It is not suitable for visitors to attend on these days.

The Club has two permanent 28-bale courses featuring ANZUS silhouette target faces. An ability to judge distances is essential, but can easily be developed with coaching and practice. To keep things fresh we change the design and positioning of the courses from time-to-time, and switch between 2 and 3-zone scoring targets.

Several times a year we lay out 20-target 3D courses using Reinhart commercial targets. These life-sized realistic animal targets are displayed in authentic settings as you would expect to see them in the wild. Shooting 3D targets is everyone’s favourite, and we routinely use these for interclub competitions, the annual Christmas Shoot and Club Champs.

Our club is an active participant in North Island competitions and tournaments including the Waikato Interclub Series. Pine Ridge has hosted the largest and most acclaimed shoots in recent years including the Kiwi 3D and the NZ Bowhunter Open. We are well known for putting on the very best events in NZ with safe, creative and realistic courses, great catering, full prize tables and smooth administration. Some members are involved in pest control, small and big game hunting to help the environment, create fresh challenges and hone their archery skills.

Access to the club is via a private driveway at the end of Maddaford Road, Ararimu, a short 5 minute drive from the Southern Motorway. The private driveway goes all the way down to the clubhouse and there is ample parking. As the Club is located in the middle of a working farm we ask everyone to adhere to the speed limit, close any gates that you open and not scare the stock.
